At Chez Doris, we support Indigenous women by guiding them toward safe, stable housing that honours their dignity.

Safe and appropriate accommodation

In partnership with the federal government, our Indigenous Women’s Housing Program works to ensure stable housing for Indigenous women. The program helps participants secure appropriate accommodations and provides support to furnish their apartments with essential items.

Support for building long-term stability

Financial support and personalized guidance are also provided to help ensure sound management of expenses and bills, fostering both security and stability. By addressing the essential need for safe housing, the program makes a significant contribution to the well-being and autonomy of Indigenous women.

SAINT-ANDRÉ: a house with 20 rooms, each with a private bathroom. Kitchens and living rooms are located in shared common areas. The house has multiple staircases and is therefore not suitable for participants with reduced mobility. A team of caseworkers is present on-site at all times. DE CHAMPLAIN: a residence with 26 studio apartments, each with a private bathroom and kitchen. The building includes four studios adapted for people with reduced mobility, but not accessible for wheelchair users. A caseworker is available on-site, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours.
